Ever wondered what astronaut do to entertain themselves in space? In perhaps one of the coolest covers of a song that has ever been made, astronaut Chris Hadfield recreated David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” while aboard the International Space Station.


Hadfield actually obtained the rock icon’s permission and recorded the video in 2013, performing both guitar and vocals in the video. Bowie himself said it was one of the most poignant renditions of his song he had ever seen.


The video was re-released following the death of Bowie last month. It's a fitting and touching tribute to honor the passing of a legend. And a vivid example of our tax dollars at work! You can see for yourself - check out this article.
