CES 2016 has come and gone.

If you’re not obsessed with the newest and coolest gadgets for work, home and play, you may not be aware of CES – the Consumer Electronics Show held in early January each year in Vegas.

It’s a big deal! Many of the items we take for granted today were first introduced at CES. So, what was introduced at this year’s show that you might be seeing in the near future?

A few of my favorites Including a food scanner that counts  how many carbs and calories are sitting on your dinner plate, an adorable Fisher-Price's Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar that teaches preschoolers the basics of learning to code, a BMW 3D gesture control system that allows you to control the car's in-dash screen just like a touchscreen without ever actually touching it, and my favorite, a 500 pound passenger drone. That makes me glad I lost all that weight in 2015!

Click here to see a sample of what’s in store and photos and descriptions of some of the coolest new inventions of the past year!

What gadget are you most looking forward to?
