The Dominion Women’s Forum is one of the biggest clubs within The Dominion Country Club and open to all ladies who are members of the club. The past year has been one of the most fun years, ever! As the 2015-2016 year comes to a close, here are some of the highlights!
Catrina Kendrick was in charge of our programs this year, and month after month, she has made sure we’ve been entertained and enlightened.
Our September luncheon was accented by the vocal talents of internationally recognized opera sensation Angela Malek. Her music brought many of us to tears, and she touched our souls with her talent.
Our October Luncheon was the Member Favorite Julian Gold Fashion Show that attracted over 200 ladies! It featured our very own Dominion models, as well as a few professionals. The clothes were beautiful, but not as beautiful as the smiles on our members! Special thanks to Sharon Koenig for coordinating this wildly popular event!
Our first big social event that included our honeys was our Halloween Party! Most of us got in the spooky spirit and dressed for the occasions! Best costume went to Tim & Loy Thompson and special thanks to Tony Wilson who keep us on the dance floor. And the FOOD!!! Wowwowowowow!! What a fun night! Thank you Barb Burger for organizing this great party! See all the houses in The Dominion by clicking HERE.
The November meeting featured Donna Fuller, comedian and author. Her wit and wisdom lightened our hearts and made us all feel special. Plus, we raised some money for DAAG!
Our best attended event of the year, the Bazaar, was organized by Lori Harper! With an awesome mix of vendors and a performance by the Clark Choir it was a fabulous afternoon of shopping and friendship! Great job Lori!
Our January program was magician Mark Travis, His mesmerizing performance left of baffled and reminded us that the impossible really was possible.
February kicked off with San Antonio rodeo Hall of Famer Jackie Van De Wall. We learned so much about all the good things the rodeo does for our young people, and a few lucky ladies even left with season passes!
February also brought our Valentine’s Day party. With love in the air and friends all around it was a truly special night! Tony Wilson once again created the mood, and the club dazzled us with yummy treats. We learned so much about each others as many of us told the stories of how we met. Barb and her team even made sure we all left with a beautiful rose. It was an enchanting evening!
March’s program brought Hollywood to us! C&C Ballroom Dance studio thrilled us with an electrifying performance and even taught us a few moves! Thank you Sue Horn for helping bring this amazing program to the DWF!
April’s luncheon bought back one of our most popular guests, Don Irwin. His wildly entertaining music has been featured all over the world. To have a talent like him perform for our ladies was quite an honor! Special thanks to Carolyn Ruble for arranging this musical extravaganza!
Our most recent event, The Gala, was the ultimate Dominion black tie event. The theme, Diamonds and Pearls, was elegantly seen throughout the club. The decorations and lighting brought the club to life and our members looked more beautiful than stars on the red carpet. Great Job Marilyn Farello and your awesome committee! You really know how to throw a party!
We have one luncheon and one big party to go, both will be on Friday, May 6th. If you're a lady who’s a member of The Dominion, give me or any of our members, a call and find out why so many of us love this wonderful group of ladies! You can join for the rest of the year for only $17.50 and enjoy the last luncheon & our party.
Our special guest at our May meeting will be Coleen Grissom, the former dean of students at Trinity University. Many of us have heard Coleen speak at the Book and Author luncheon. She’ll leave you in stitches and remind all of us of just how far we have come! Download her new book to your Kindle now!
Mark your calendar for our end of the year blowout party - with significant others! It’s free to all our DWF members and their dates. Talk about a smokin’ deal! Come join us! It’s it’s a great chance for ladies (and their men) to meet fellow club members and get involved.
If you’d like to learn more about the Dominion Country Club or a home in The Dominion please call me! It really is a magical place!
Thank you to all the ladies who made this such a special year for the DWF!

"Eric and Susy did a fantasCc job of finding out what we wanted and seKng up a customized search for us. We would select properCes to visit weekly (or someCmes faster) and they were very flexible about showing us them daily and on weekends. They had a good sense for the value of houses and we saw several houses go by for the approximate value
they stated. We lost two houses but moved aggressively on the third and finally succeeded.Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend them."
